LATAR BELAKANG
Media massa memiliki kekuatan untuk mempengaruhi kehidupan manusia. Dari semua media
massa yang ada, televisi merupakan sumber informasi yang paling berpengaruh
terhadap pola pikir masyarakat, baru kemudian di susul surat kabar dan radio.
Pengaruh itu disebabkan, media massa terutama televisi memiliki kemampuan
menciptakan kesan (image) dan persepsi bahwa suatu muatan dalam layar kaca menjadi
lebih nyata dari realitasnya (Tabroni, 2003, p.1).
Televisi sendiri diperkenalkan di Indonesia pada 24 Agustus 1962 oleh Presiden
Soekarno dengan nama Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI). Kemudian pada akhir tahun
80-an, muncul RCTI yang mengudara pada 24 Agustus 1989, di susul SCTV pada 24
Agustus 1990, TPI pada 23 Jauari 1991, Anteve pada 7 Maret 1993 dan kemudian
Indosiar pada 11 Januari 1995. Perkembangannya menjadi semakin pesat sejak Menteri
Penerangan, Yunus Yosfiah mengeluarkan 5 kebijakan penting terhadap kebebasan pers
di Indonesia. Sejak saat itu, khusunya setelah digantinya kebijakan peraturan
menteri tentang SIUPP dari 01/Per/Menpen/1984 menjadi 01/Per/Menpen/1998, hampir
secara serempak muncul 5 stasiun televisi swasta baru, yakni MetroTV pada 25
November 2000, Global TV pada 15 Oktober 2001, TV-7 (Trans 7) pada 25 November 2001,
Trans TV pada 15 Desember 2001 dan Lativi (TVOne) pada 17 Januari 2002, serta
puluhan televisi daerah yang tersebar di Indonesia.
Berbeda dengan TVRI, televisi swasta sangat membutuhkan iklan untuk membiayai biaya
operasional stasiun televisi yang tidak sedikit. Sehingga semakin banyak jumlah
stasiun televisi , semakin membuat para pengelolas stasiun untuk semakin kreatif
dalam membuat dan memilah suatu program supaya tidak kalah bersaing dan memilki
rating tinggi. Program yang mempunyai rating tinggi yang berarti memiliki banyak
pemirsa, dengan sendirinya akan menjadi bahan rebutan pengiklan.
Salah satu program yang televisi yang saat ini sedang menjadi trend adalah Reality
Show. Reality show adalah salah satu jenis program acara TV dimana pendokumentasian
rekayasa realitas berlangsung tanpa skenario dengan menggunakan pemain dari khalayak
umum biasa ( tidak menggunakan artis). Tayangan ini akan menampilkan realita yang
ada untuk menggambarkan keadaan yang mungkin sering kita temui dalam kehidupan
sehari-hari. Namun seiring dengan perkembangan dan persaingan diantara stasiun
televisi swasta. Reality show dikemas dengan berlebihan bahkan dengan pencemaran
nilai-nilai sosial.
MASALAH UTAMA
Semakin banyaknya stasiun televisi, bukannya semakin memacu para pengelola untuk
bersaing menampilkan program yang kreatif, malah semakin mempererat persaingan yanga
ada. Salah satu contoh adalah program reality show yang seharusnya menampilkan
tayangan yang bersifat apa adanya, yaitu realita di masyarakat malah dijadikan
sebuah acara yang diracik sedemikian rupa untuk menarik minat penonton.
Reality Show secara istilah berarti pertunjukan yang asli (real), tidak direkayasa,
tidak dibuat-buat. Kejadiannya diambil dari keseharian, kehidupan masyarakat apa
adanya, yaitu realita di masyarakat. Tayangan reality show ini pada awalnya mirip
dengan dokumentasi news. Hanya saja pada perkembangannya reality show ini bukan
berita yang menjadi pokok tayangannya melainkan keterkaitan emosi penonton dengan
aktor-nya. Hanya saja seiring dengan perkembangan televisi dan tuntutan agar
mendapat rating yang tinggi, sebagai kemasan tontonan maka reality show diracik
sedemikian rupa bahkan hingga mencemarkan nilai-nilai sosial hingga emosi penonton
bisa tercapai.
Reality show sudah bias dari konsep aslinya, hampir menjadi simpang siur atas
kebutuhan pemirsa. Dalihnya reality show, akan tetapi supaya dapat membuat penonton
terharu, maka akan dilakukan penambahan-penambahan (rekayasa) agar alur ceritanya
menjadi sendu. Padahal hal ini merupakan suatu penyimpangan apalagi cerita bahkan
dibuat berlebihan dan mencemari nilai-nilai sosial.
Tayangan Termehek-Mehek

Termehek-Mehek adalah sebuah program reality show baru sejak tanggal 3 Mei 2008
lalu. Program yang diberi tajuk Termehek-mehek - sebuah istilah baru yang bahasa
bakunya terisak-isak- ini disiarkan setiap hari Sabtu dan Minggu pada pukul
18.15WIB. Dalam program ini seorang client diceritakan sedang mencari seseorang yang
telah hilang entah kemana setelah suatu perjumpaan atau pertemuan yang cukup lama.
Dalam upaya pencariannya inilah si client meminta bantuan tim acara termehek-mehek
untuk mencarikan si orang hilang dimaksud. Sebuah perjalanan yang terkadang dibikin
sedramatis mungkin- akhirnya berujung pada sebuah pertemuan dengan si orang yang
dicari. Dan terkadang pencarian berakhir pada sebuah cerita duka, misalnya si orang
yang dicari ternyata sudah meninggal.
klien sudah lama mencari kemana-mana sebut saja si Ani/Anita kekasihnya yang sangat
di cinta yang tidak tanpa kabar dan berita menghilang seolah ditelan bumi.

In Autism problem, there is no reason, there is no cure, but there is a hope.
Nowadays, Autism Awareness becomes one of most popular social issue. American
Psychiatric Association defines Autism as a brain development disorder characterized
by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive
behavior. Autism is not a disease or virus which can spread to anyone else, instead
of that, children who get autism should be accepted and helped by society and
government in medical and education aspect. What can be done to raise the awareness
of autism? There are a lot of things that we can do to raise the awareness and
acceptance from society to those autistic children.
People all have hidden talents, even autistic children. Maybe a lot of people do
not know yet that early intervention and quick handling to autistic children can
make those children develop and even have some accomplishments such as, writing,
painting, dancing and playing music. With that fact, Autism care community can hold
Expo as one big event that can raise awareness of autism. The Expo will start with
the talent show like singing and dancing in kind of mini concert from autistic
children. Gallery of painting or drawing will be exhibit to visitor of the expo.
Everything in the expo will show to other that autistic children can do something.
It also provides essential information and additional section with information
booths that will give parents guidance and information how to capture autistic
children’s talent.
Autism Awareness Festival will be the best media to raise awareness, there will be
talk show, discussion, and sharing experience. It can be the media where parents of
autistic children can meet some expert to talk about autism problem to educate
families about various treatment options for autism. Parents can share their
experience of their children, and some expert then will suggest and advise about
what to do to handle autistic children. Here, parents can ask about everything when
they feel really confuse about what to do firstly when they find out that they have
autistic children and what to do next to teach and develop their children. People
who came to the event will get a lot of information of school, clinic, therapy
center, seminar and workshop related to autistic children.
Lastly, government can also take concern with make a specific institution like
Autism Awareness Foundation which responsible as the center of Autism. This
institution will help parents that have problem with autistic children to know what
they need to do. This community also will give support mentally to the parents and
physically to the autistic children. This foundation can help government look up to
the problem and see that autism is becoming a serious problem. Government should
know what reasons that can causes autism problem. And take it as serious problem
that need to be solved. The institution will be the home base of autism.

expressing feelings. It touches our emotional being and moods and feelings that are
sometimes difficult to express. It can change a difficult mood and make it happy or
excited it can change a light mood and take it deeper. World will be so quiet if
there is no music at all. Consider the difference between a party with music and one
without, or a sporting event, or a movie, or a romantic restaurant, or driving in
your car. World will be colored with music. Music is a gift from God, a sacred
expression of the Universal Life Force Energy that creates us all.

Bali, which is known as Paradise Island, attracts a wide variety of people with
entirely different interest and cultural background. For several reasons, I think we
should try to develop Bali more. First of All, Bali is one of the regions in
Indonesia which contributes a big amount of money to country’s state income, 50 %
from the whole Indonesia state income. Bali’s chief industry has provided the island
with a foreign tourist that is eager to pay for entertainment. The impact of tourism
is controversial since it became integrated into the economy and increased the
quality of life of Balinese people. Another reason that we decided to develop Bali
more is because it is one of the most popular destination for tourism in the world.
There are a lot of tourism objects, which can attract people to go there. The best
scenery, the harmony of the nature, the best adventurous activities are some
pleasure that we are going to have in and around this exotic island. Finally, Bali
is a special place no question, but the things that sets Bali apart is its culture.
Bali has rich of culture such as ritual, ceremony, sacred performance, and dances.
Balinese culture is performed worldwide not just on the Bali island, as we can see
Balinese dances are exported to the concerts of hall of Sydney, Paris and New York.
If they can explore it even it is not their own, why we can not. Bali has something
for everyone, no matter how old are they, no matter how much they pay, Bali is
always memorable. I feel we should develop it as our future assets.
